Valentine’s Day Look
January 31, 2018I wanted my first post to be about celebrating Valentine’s Day as a wife and mother of three who still wants to look stylish/on trend. I really want more women (especially mothers) to feel empowered and confident. I know it’s easier to put on a pair of jeans and call it a day. But the truth is it’s not over yet you still “got it” ! This Valentine’s Day take a chance and push the style envelope a little bit. Try something new and make a little effort to stay in the “game”. Find the confidence to wear something outside of your comfort zone whatever it may be. I personally shy away from wearing short dresses or shorts because after having babies nothing looks the same-I’m so serious. It always feels like my spider veins are on a mission to keep me in pants! LOL! Over the years I’ve realized most of it is in my head. So I plan on showing more legs this year before I really can’t get away with it- pray for me.
I found this one-shoulder dress that I think is perfect for Valentine’s and for any other dinner party or night out. Bold primary colors (red, yellow, green, etc..) are going to be so in this Spring so I’m really excited that you will be able to wear this dress again.
I’m not suggesting you wear this with the kids running around the restaurant and a baby on your hip (unless you are Posh Beckham or SJP). But when you do get that invite or that text about date night or a dinner party pull this number out!
Here are few reasons why I love this dress:
1) The one shoulder makes it Avant-garde with a classic touch.
2) The color is absolutely stunning in “real life”.
3) It comes in tall for girls like me and regular size.
4) The fabric is soft and strechy- helloooo!!!!
5) The ruching around the waist is so forgiving and slimming. I also love that there’s room for Spanx if you need it ( yes, some of us need Spanx- don’t deny it).
4) The price is so affordable (under $30). I just love mixing high and low priced items.
By the way, I will be wearing booties all year! Get into it :)
XO,
M
